The size of a solar
electric system is expressed in the number of kilowatts generated
by the system per hour of full sun.
The typical electricity bill is in kilowatt hours
(KWH) per month. To find the yearly usage either add up the bills
for the last 12 months or find your estimated usage by multiplying
1 month by 12.
To estimate the size of the photovoltaic system,
the yearly kilowatt usage is divided by the number of full sunlight
hours.
Yearly KWH usage/ Yearly # of hours of full sun
= PV system requirements.
